Five shiny things that I like (which I'm strictly interpreting as actually shiny and not Firefly "ooh, shiny"):
1) The sun shining off of snow, like it's doing right now outside.
2) Is my sewing machine shiny? It has metal on it, so it counts. :D
3) My small but growing collection of half marathon medals hanging up in my office.
4) My laptop, because I could not live without it.
5) The ring that I bought myself as a present for getting tenure.
