Holy snow, Batman!

If you haven't already seen this video, it's kind of amazing.  The inflated Metrodome in Minneapolis, where the Vikings and until recently the Twins played, had so much snow fall on it last night that it actually tore and collapsed.  The local Fox affiliate had a view from a camera inside the dome as it fell.  They are so fortunate that it happened in the middle of the night so that no one was inside.

I used to live there, so it's kind of a big deal to me, just like it was when the bridge collapsed a couple of years ago.  Poor Minneapolis!

That's... a lot of snow. Wow.

I'm in London, ON -- we just got 3 and a half feet dumped on us in about three days last week. They had to close the university for three days here (the week before finals start OH NOES!!!!). On the flip, it gave my roomies and I time to build an igloo on the front lawn and a snowman on the roof.

Here's hoping you aren't stuck digging out too!

We don't have a huge amount of snow, just lots of wind right now. I'm staying inside for as many days as possible. :)

Ha, just saw your post here....Yes, I was digging out of 18 inches of snow last weekend in St Paul....And still climbing over drifts to get to the bus. Such joy! It was very weird going past the Dome on my way to work - alllllllll flat. Boom. :(

That's right, I forgot you live there! I remember having to adjust my morning schedule to leave 10 minutes earlier to get to the bus, between piling on the layers and inching down the sidewalks. :(
